Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

We are in-network with several health plans. In our consultation form, there’s a list of in-network plans. We also provide out-of-network services and accept private pay. For individuals using out-of-network benefits, we generate a superbill that can be submitted to your health plan for reimbursement. To know if you qualify for out-of-network benefits, reach out to your health plan to confirm. This information is also located in your health plan book, which is sent in the mail when you enroll in your health plan.

What is a superbill?

A Superbill is a master invoice that we create monthly, showing how much you paid for therapy monthly. This Superbill is then submitted by you to your health plan for full or partial reimbursement.

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

We do provide reduced fee services for $50- $100. The services are provided by graduate-level interns who are specifically selected by the owner. These interns come with previous experience in the mental health field, and are trained in evidence-based therapy interventions like CBT, EMDR, ACT ect. The purpose of internships at this practice is to teach fellow aspiring social workers, mental clinicians, and marriage and family therapists how to provide therapy. The internships also offers the opportunity to teach future clinicians how to identify their niche skills and population, how to run a private practice, and overall professional development.

Do you have late afternoon and evening appointments?

Yes, evening appointments from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm are offered when available.

How long are your clients in therapy?

Depending on the client’s needs and their commitment to sessions, the lengths of time vary. The willingness and effort on the client’s end will greatly influence the length of time therapy will last. Additionally, the therapists being the right fit for your needs will impact the length of time in any therapy practice.

What if I don’t feel you’re the right fit after we’ve had a few sessions?

Therapy is a wonderful and transformative experience as long as there is a therapeutic alliance that’s created. Sometimes creating that alliance can be hard for various reasons. We encourage clients to please let us know if they are not satisfied so that we may help them find someone who may be a better fit, either within the practice or referred out to someone else. We promise we won’t be offended if you choose to work with someone else. We welcome assertive communication and recommend two sessions to assess if you feel like you’re therapist is the right fit.

Are there diagnoses or conditions you do not work with?

At this time, we do not offer services for personality disorders, eating disorders, and higher-tier autism (level 2-3), or substance abuse.
